Palin's Real America is Pro-Obama

I don't need to tell you who won.

Woo. Go Obama.

Anyways, It's been 2 days since the election, but it's taken that long to figure out who won my home state of North Carolina. Palin, several weeks ago, made a comment in her speech about 'Real America" right here in North Carolina, calling the small towns and rural areas (like in NC) are where 'real americans' are..

It seems that Real America is in the tank for Obama. North Carolina is Blue.

I do not know what to write about anymore. Give me suggestions.

Sorry Neocons: Obama Will Win, Even In Some Red States

Political Corner: From the Editor

It's hard to realize it, but we're 1 week away from elections, and if the polls go as they show (I'm using NPR and fivethirtyeight), the Democrats will be in control of Congress, a few more states, North Carolina in particular, and even the presidency. I mean, he's winning in North Carolina for peat's sake! North Carolina!

Now, don't think that this wasn't inevitable. The way Dubya Bush has driven this country is not going down well with voters. First the "War in Iraq" (which is technically an invasion, war was never declared) sat poorly with the populace, which is why Ron Paul was so popular and had a huge following in the GOP primaries. If the GOP had nominated Ron Paul, who has plenty more experience with the economy than John McCain, the GOP might have a lead.

Speaking of leads, it seemed to me that John McCain's tie in the polls with Obama collapsed about a week after he nominated Sarah Palin. When the public realized that the GOP Vice Presidential Nominee hadn't even experience than Obama, and that McCain, as a POW and a cancer survivor (both show what he's been through), might have a medical issue and possibly die while president, they got scared at the idea that this governor with 20 months experience, 5 kids and can't name a Supreme Court case other than Roe v. Wade, would be leader of the free world.

If McCain had picked Huckabee, Romney, or even Lieberman, he would be doing much better in the polls. Obama made a smart choice in Biden, who is 7 years younger than McCain, and has 10 year more congressional experience. Biden is more experienced than McCain!

Where I live, in a predominatly black area of the city (well, it is an HBCU), I am willing to bet that there will be a great celebration upon Obama's election.

Here's where I get my polling data:

The Mercury News and Observer Opens Its (Nonexistant) Doors!

Welcome to the one-man run online newspaper, the Mercury News and Observer (MNO). No, it's not about the planet, it's an analogy for speed. It's the fast news, well, as fast as it gets to me.

This is a libertarian leaning newslog , with some liberal sprinkled in. You are free to comment.

Since one man cannot cover the news all at once (plus a college student is busy at other times too), I would like to hire (without pay, but if this ever goes into print, it will be paid) some eager individuals who could possibly interview individuals, write articles, or produce editorials. If you have an opinion, it more than likely (i.e 99.9%) will be published. If you would like to be a regular submitter, drop me a line at:

youtubehelpcenter@gmail.com

No, that really is my email.

Thanks, and good readings,
M. Missiles
